Course Description

This is a 2-day workshop for people who provide support for service users. To appreciate why we should be using person centred thinking skills and to learn how to use the skills in gathering information for people they support. This will provide you with new, improved and more natural ways to contribute to a person's plan. Participants will more likely develop the values needed to support people in having positive control over their lives


By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • To develop skills in gathering information to improve the lives of those supported
  • Develop skills to work in partnership with the person you support

  • To contribute to a persons support plan in a natural way

  • Improve ability to use and act on the information in a persons plan

  • Learn how to develop a profile for yourself in order to gather information with people you support


Delegates who have attended this course are able to attend the Person Centred Support Planning.
