Safeguarding Adults Level 2 Briefing

Briefing session to update staff for Adult Safeguarding Foundation Training.

Target Group

An opportunity to re-familiarise Social Care and Health Support Workers with Adult Safeguarding. 


To refamiliarise care and support staff and others who have frequent and extensive contact with Adults with Adult Safeguarding and to ensure that staff are up to date with developments both locally and nationally relating to safeguarding adults.


By the end of the day participants will be able to:

  • Explain the principles of safeguarding adults and key definitions
  • Describe the different types and indicators of abuse/harm
  • Describe what makes abuse more likely to occur
  • Explain how to respond to a Safeguarding Concern in St Helens
  • State key information to be included when reporting safeguarding concerns


Please be advised St Helens Safeguarding Adults Board has introduced a charging process for non-attendance of booked training places on all Safeguarding Adults training courses.
