Kershaw Day Support Centre for Older People (Day Care
Service) The Butterfly Model is a person centred approach to
dementia. Focusing on the person and the importance of
relationships. The key purpose is to create a community of people -
relatives , friends and visitors, alongside people living and
working in the home, all sharing and gaining from their lives
together. Andrew Waugh will share with you their journey and the
ever increasing benefits of implementing this at Kershaw Day
Centre.

what her company can offer and how you can claim funding
The Workforce Development Fund (WDF) is funding from the
Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC)disseminated by Skills
for Care. It supports the provision of high quality care and the
continuing professionaldevelopment (CPD) of staff across the adult
social care sector by providing a contribution towards the costs
ofvocational learning. The fund allows you to claim back money
towards the costs of workers completing a broadrange of adult
social care qualifications and learning programmes and training
within your own organisation.
