safeguarding adults and promoting their health and well being.
Unfortunately, the neglect and abuse of vulnerable adults can and
does happen.
You and your staff need to know how to report any concerns you may have and what you can do to prevent neglect and abuse form happening in the first place.

There are a variety of courses available, including e-learning and
e-assessment programmes, to staff who work in or support service
users in the borough of St Helens.

Disclosure and Barring Service
The Disclosure and Barring Service ( DBS ) has replaced the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority ( ISA). Regulated activity providers have a legal duty to refer to the DBS which helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable adults.
